Innovaplast, officially established in 2020, is the one and only biotechnology company in Turkey that produces 100% soluble bacteria-based bioplastic raw material Poly-ß-hydroxybutyric acid (PHB). Innovaplast conducts it’s production from natural and renewable resources within the excellence of microbiological processes. Innovaplast also carries out R&D and production activities to replace petroleum-sourced plastics with alternative, environment friendly and new generation bioplastics which can be used in all desired sectors with the slogan and vision of "Bioplastic for a Livable World".

The usage areas of plastics have taken up a large place in our lives since the 20th century, and are expanding day by day due to their advantages. However, the environmental pollution caused by petroleum-based plastics also increases and leads to environmental pollution problem which needs to be solved urgently. Innovaplast is ambitious about replacing petroleum-derived plastics with bioplastics in variety of sectors from packaging to medical products by providing environment friendly solution to this problem with a material that has the same advantages as petroleum-derived plastics. To achieve the goal, Innovaplast produces a raw material: commercial PHB, which, as mentioned, is equivalent to petroleum-derived plastics in terms of price and performance features such as durability and cost-efficiency.

From medical biocompatible materials which can be used in surgical procedures, industrial packaging materials, to toys, feeding gadgets and bioinks in different compounds for bioprinters are among the production areas Innovaplast provides suitable raw materials for. Innovaplast is determined and does contribute to a sustainable future and make a difference by expanding the usage areas of bacteria-based PHB with its high-tech laboratory, production equipment and innovative perspective.
